On November 5th at 5:32 PM, I ordered four dishes on the Fantuan app for pickup. The system showed at 6:08 PM that my food was ready, so I arrived at the restaurant right on time. When I got there, the front desk staff told me I needed to wait a bit longer, which I was fine with. But a few minutes later, the same staff member came over with a rude attitude, telling me to leave the restaurant and wait in my car. She said, “Come back when the system says it’s ready.” I explained that the app already said the food was ready, but she insisted I leave anyway. She even claimed I was “blocking the way”, which was completely false — I was standing quietly near the counter and not in anyone’s way. She never even checked my order details and just kept a bad attitude the whole time. I decided to stay since I wouldn’t know when my food was ready if I left. After that, she completely ignored me. I ended up waiting until 7:05 PM — almost an hour later — before I finally got my order. Honestly, this was a terrible experience: 1. The staff’s attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. 2. The app’s “ready” status clearly didn’t match the actual situation. 3. Being told to leave the restaurant for no reason was completely unacceptable. I hope Fantuan and the restaurant take this seriously and deal with it properly. And for other customers — think twice before ordering from this place. 我于11月5日17:32在饭团App上点了四道菜，选择自取。系统在18:08提示餐品已准备好，于是我准时到达餐厅。 到店后，前台工作人员告诉我还要再等一会儿，我表示理解并在门口等候。几分钟后，这位工作人员却态度恶劣地走过来，要求我离开餐厅，去车里等，并说“等系统提示再来取”。我向她解释系统已经显示可以取餐，但她依然态度强硬，坚持让我离开。 她甚至声称我“挡路了”，但这完全不属实——我只是安静地站在前台附近，没有妨碍任何人通行。她也没有核对我的订单信息，全程态度恶劣。 我担心离开后无法得知餐食完成时间，所以选择继续在店内等待。之后她完全无视我。我一直等到19:05，餐品才准备好，前后整整等了将近一小时。 这次经历非常糟糕： 1. 服务员态度极其不好 2. 系统提示与实际出餐严重不符； 3. 无理由地要求顾客离开餐厅，令人无法接受。 我希望饭团平台和餐厅能认真处理此事。 同时提醒各位顾客：点这家餐厅的外卖或自取，一定要慎重！
A hole in the wall. The food was delicious! Super small restaurant and everything is in Chinese. You can request for an English menu but I feel like it doesn’t show everything listed in the Chinese menu. They have a vip card that you can purchase for $20 which gives you discounts on each of the dishes. The servers were nice and tried to explain things to the best of their abilities.
Food 4/5 Service 3.5/5 Vibe 3/5 Its known for their authentic shanghaiese food, so i decided to give them a try as i was cravings xlb 小笼包 and fatty belly meat 红烧肉. Def need to make reservation, and its a relatively smaller reso. I would say 4-6 people is max… if more, it will be quite challenging to chitchat. I would highly recommend their steam pork buns and lobster with spicy and crispy bites 避风塘龙虾. Their stinky tofu, salty duck and pork belly was alright. Overall 4/5. Greatful i tried them, but not sure ill come back? P.S. their pricing are a bit more expensive than other reso, but they are known for their “authentic” ways for making each dish. So you can be the judge~
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Toronto. Credit to the chef and owner for creating an experience that feels both authentic and nostalgic. Each dish is a perfect reflection of the flavors from Shanghai and Suzhou—genuine tastes you won’t find anywhere else in Eastern Canada. The quality of the food alone could hold its own in China. Beyond the food, the service is impeccable, with thoughtful touches that really elevate the experience. The staff continuously refills your teapot and refreshes your bone plate midway through the meal. Fresh flowers adorn the table, adding a beautiful, personal touch. These details set this place apart from other Chinese restaurants. P.s. I enjoy the artistic calligraphy menu.
we ate there 3 times. Some of the dishes are ind of ok. But each time there was a horrible one which tasted terrible. Their price are at high end in GTA chinese restaurants. But the food taste awful.
It is our favorite restaurant which has very unique and tasty dishes from southern part of China. The price is at the higher end, but they have many yummy dishes that are not available anywhere else in Greater Toronto Area. Everything we ordered was full of flavors, service was consistent, sometimes can be a little slow, the interior and music are vibrant, elegant and pleasant. They recently launched membership, which we signed up, which gives access to cheaper price and afternoon tea options. We are delighted to see the price came down due to the membership option and we will probably go back more often.

Mad, and strong accent. I understand you are busy at that time but you should not talk like that. Review will prove your store employees are extremely rude.
