Award winning chef. Pigeon was super good. Sharkfin with rice was a surprise. I forgot to take pic. Owners were friendly. The restaurant is always packed and long wait. You know it is good. Washroom needs to be clean as the wet floor turn my off a bit.
Food arrived fast with massive portions, friendly staff and waitresses always there to attend to our needs. Would definitely recommend for larger parties and book on a less busy day (weekdays)
Walked in and the place stunk. They discriminate against non Chinese customers calling to place a pickup order but they faked speaking English so I had to come in to place it and waste more time if you aren’t Chinese you won’t have a good experience here. And they dare call themselves the best in Richmond hill? Far from it. They overcharge without your permission. Sweet & sour chicken only comes with 1 small piece of chicken out of the whole dish how could you discriminate that badly as good as the chicken was I was left with dissatisfaction and disappointment. Never coming back here.
Had to wait 20 min to get in after reserving then it took another 20 minutes for them to ask what we wanted. They ignored us when we wanted to order something else. It is also really loud and hard to talk. But the food was good and Connie was nice and got stuff for us.
First time here while visiting Toronto. Didn't have any expectations but have heard some good reviews. We wanted to try different variety of food so ordered some specialties and other traditional cantonese style food. We ordered both the clams and eels and quickly discovered that the sauce base is the same. The eels which were expensive were definitely too salty with too much sauce on it. That was a bit disappointing. The vegetables, on the other hand, were very fresh and delicious. Service was not the best maybe we were in one of the VIP rooms. Getting the tea pots refilled was a wait. I think I can say that we have tried this place and move on.
I came here for a succulent Chinese meal, but was met with horrendous service. The food wasn't great either. The best thing we had was the spicy chicken fried rice. The pork belly was okay. The soy sauce chicken was alright. The sweet and sour chicken was horrible and tasted like it was mostly batter and little meat. I wouldn't come back. Some of the worst service that I've ever experienced at a restaurant. They slowly brought our dishes out one by one. They forgot we ordered steamed rice and we had to ask for it again.
We went there with few friends last night for dinner. The place was extremely noisy and the noise was mostly coming from the servers collecting plates and cleaning tables. The service was below average. They never came to our table to change plates full of bones and shells with clean plates. At the end, when we paid the bill in cash we added 10 percent for the tip for the total amount after tax which we thought is more than fair considering their poor services. The server was not happy because he expected us to pay at least 20 percent. They do not report this money to the government anyways, so why should we pay tip on the tax that you are not paying back to the government anyways. The server was telling us that we needed to pay tip even on the tax amount. After this experience, we all decided that we will never go back to that place.
