Boyfriend comes about once a month to get a haircut and bread trim. Minimal wait to no wait time as there are many chairs and people here to attend to you. Decent prices and can speak English and Mandarin. Area is kept clean and tidy. Coat racks, hangers available for the winter seasons.
Absolutely the worst haircut my son has ever received. It looks like the barber put a bowl on his head and cut around it. The hair is completely uneven — short in some areas and long in others. They clearly sacrifice quality for speed and price, and it shows. This was our first and definitely our last time at this salon.
My only concern is hygiene. They do not put the combs in the blue disinfectant or clean the clippers. I may have got a scalp infection last year. I still go here every 6 weeks.
The first time I dropped in, I explained exactly what I wanted and got it, cut, highlights (2 colours) and a blow dry …$75. This time I got a different guy and he had NO understanding of what I wanted. Another guy came over and told me my choice of colours wouldn’t look good but I insisted it would.( I do it all the time) My guy couldn’t speak a lick of English and had to be told several times how to do it in Chinese.The other guy had to explain it to him multiple times. So he washes it, paints the highlights…(a hack job) cuts it NOTHING like the picture, and the highlights were more like stripes that didn’t blend in, were not ‘woven’’ through, and blended. All of them stopped way short of good client care.
despite the bad reviews, i've been here twice in 2 months, and it's gotta be said for $22 you do get a legit fade, it will ultimately depend on who cuts you (since it's purely walk in) but bosco gave me a good value combover high skin fade and even lined me up, so it's all luck of the draw
I have had my hair cut , dye and perm in the A&T for 8 years in different location. A lady in this location very bad service, first I wanted dark browns .gave me dark black , fair cut , uneven, one side short and thick , I told her and required to trim . She got upset . Finally the gentleman Si help the hair cut , made my hair looking better. Anyway , I am not happy , paid $ 130 , got such ugly look
My experience was bad here. I had long long hair and i went and ASKED for long layers. I showed a picture of exactly how i want my hair. The hair stylist didn’t even look at the picture. He just took a quick glance at it and said okay i was like okay maybe he knows exactly what to do. I made sure that he DOESNT cut my hair too short and i told him i don’t want it that short yet he messed up my hair and now its all gone. The first time when i told him that what he did wasn’t what i asked for he seemed annoyed. He doesn’t seem to speak or understand english maybe thats why he messed my hair up. i didn’t say or make a sence there because i felt bad but i just paid without giving a tip. ( im not the kind of person that doesn’t tip but i genuinely HATED my hair and cried that day) I would not recommend if you want a professional/ great looking hair cut. Ps. The girl there was pretty good! She did my friend’s hair colour/cut/style and it was very nice! UPDATE: i went back and Joy fixed my hair. Now it’s looking way better. Joy is amazing. She communicates very well and asks you questions about what you want with your hair and she also explains what she’s doing. I highly recommend getting a hair cut with her!!
