I got a men’s perm from Andy. He was really nice and did an amazing job with both the perm and haircut. Highly recommend him specifically if you are looking for a perm.
This review is only about the two hairstylists involved. I’ve been a regular at A&T for years and usually have great experiences. This time, I had a new female stylist (short hair). While cutting my hair, she kept chatting loudly in Fujianese with another stylist named Jason. A few minutes later, the scissors accidentally cut my left ear (see photo). It hurt, but since she apologized, I said it was okay and let her continue. Near the end, she told me my ear was bleeding and helped disinfect it — that’s when I realized it was actually bleeding. I’m not making a big deal out of it, but there are some issues the owner should know: 1. Jason said, “It’s okay, we often cut people and they bleed.” 2. The stylist didn’t tell me right away and just kept chatting and cutting. 3. No one handled the situation properly afterward. I’ve had my hair cut by Jason before and didn’t expect such an attitude from someone senior, especially without any proper guidance to the new stylist. In the end, I suggested the new hairstylist call her boss (Andy or Tim). Both my husband and I have had great experience from Andy, Tim, and Peter in the past. The boss who answered their phone eventually decided not to charge me for this visit. My family and I will continue visiting A&T but will choose other stylists in the future. I hope the owners can review this incident and be aware of the issues with these two employees.
Short hair lady does not follow simple instructions “do not cut touch the sides despite knowing english and agreeing. Will NEVER return esp if she keeps working there
I did a hair cut and highlight there and my scalp has been itchy for 3 days. Yeah, their fees are only half of what my Italian hairdresser's. I will go back for a simple haircut, but never ever back for perm or highlight.
Struggling to offer a standard male haircut with some level of decency, the more expensive option of “skin fading” does not turn out much better. Mirrors are tilted at a certain angle while you’re still in the chair to deceive customers of the final look, only to realize the damage that was done once at home or pointed out by others. Barbers also struggle to follow reference photos claiming it is too hard to achieve, both an unprofessional way to approach the situation, leaving customers in frustration. After coming here for the past few months, it has become obvious that salons like these do not meet your expectations, trick customers into believing their work and make outrageous excuses to avoid certain styles. Take your business elsewhere, somewhere that does not reflect on the above.
Needed a haircut and decided to stop by this place and very happy I did. Yu is a true passionate professional of his work. Incredible attention to details. Couldn’t be happier. You definetely have a long time customer now! Thank you!
They dont know how to cut womens hair I wanted a trim and and for it it be shaped what I ended up with was a straight line, they didn’t wash my hair they used a blow dryer which did nothing it looks like they have no idea what they’re doing with womens hair. They were in a rush and he sounded like, he didn’t want to layer my hair. They were yelling right in my ear
