While I appreciate the product itself, the customer service I received was not ideal. I believe there's room for improvement in how deliveries are handled.
Old female at the cashier is rude. This is my 2nd time with new york fries, the first time I ordered was poutine long time ago and today I ordered hotdog in this location. As she was taking my order I was like “no mustard” and she’s like “we dont put anything unless you said so you just need to wait” I mean I didn’t know that’s how it works but okay thanks for letting me know but you dont have to be rude. No professionalism at all! When she asked me what do I want for my hotdog, I asked for a roasted garlic mayo and she’s like “oh you have to pay for that” and I said okay I can pay for it and charged me $1.59 for it!!! Anyways the hotdog was good but this lady needs to learn professionalism and enthusiasm.
I go there almost every week, but today a lady who claimed to be the boss shocked me. Her service attitude was really bad. I will never go there again.
Used to be a regular over the last 15 or so years, the guy who ran the place was unfailingly friendly, and you left happier just having dealt with him. NOT ANY MORE. Had the dubious pleasure of dealing with the new manager (I'm guessing)on Saturday. Not a pleasant experience. Server was bagging my order, but had only grabbed one of the two items that I'd ordered. No big deal, I asked about the second order as she was setting me up with some California seasoning. She misunderstood, and grabbed a couple extra packs. New Manager dude sees this, loses all composure and berates the poor server, then turns on me and in a breathtaking display of aggresive rudeness, shouts that "you get one per order, if you want more, it's 75 cents" (for the seasonings that they advertise as free, but I digress...), then launches into repeated sneers of "do you want it?" I politely asked "What happened to the friendly guy that worked here?", got the server to bag all of my order and left the counter. FOR THE LAST TIME EVER.
The employee here was great; very kind and respectful. However, the quality of the fries served is generally poor compared to what it was like a few years ago.
Finally, after months of waiting due to renovation then the covid, it’s final here! Always one of my fav fries spots! Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
Newly renovated, this shop is still 100% true to the freshly cut fries/ poutine in the Toronto landscape. The fries quality is spot on along with top notch customer service to go along the yumminess that is freshly fried
