I had such a great experience at Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday! I went in to buy two perfumes as gifts, and I have to say, the service I received from Esther, the beautician, was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond to help me choose the right scents — taking the time to explain the differences between each fragrance, let me sample a few options, and make sure I felt confident with my choices. What really stood out to me was her patience and genuine care. She never rushed me, even though I took a while deciding, and she had such a warm and professional attitude the entire time. It’s rare to find someone who combines product knowledge, customer care, and kindness so naturally. The store itself was clean, well-organized, and had a great selection of beauty and fragrance products. It’s clear that the staff take pride in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you, Esther, for making my visit such a pleasant experience — I’ll definitely come back for future purchases and will recommend this location to friends and family!
You go in there in the last 5mins after kids pick up to grab some essentials, the check out old lady complaining to you that you should have not come in the last minute!!! And their expired price tag was still on the shelf when you were rushed in a hurry, you redeemed the points and paid the extra by credit card just to get out of the store faster, then until you see the slip you know the price was wrong! And it can only be refund back as gift cards!!! Such a bad experience! If you want to go home at 6 sharp then close the entrance 10 mins earlier so no one will go in and hear your closing complains!! NO ONE NEEDS TO HEAR THAT AT THE END OF A BUSY DAY!
I contacted the pharmacy to follow up on a prescription that was supposed to be ready. I spoke with Tia, who informed me that they had not received the prescription, even though other information like my coverage had been received. When I asked why no one followed up to check on the missing prescription, instead of providing a clear explanation, she became rude, started raising her voice, and kept repeating “I told you.” Very disappointing experience — I was simply trying to get clarity, but was met with unnecessary attitude and unprofessional behavior.
I needed help with my Shoppers gift card and was told my card was too old and couldn't use it (when I had just received it as a gift a couple of months ago). When I asked if the sales associate can help me sort this out with customer service, the store manager (shoulder length silver hair browned skin lady) lied and said customer service is not opened for them to help. They simply said that because she really didn't want to assist me with my issue. When I tried the Shoppers customer service number, it was connected to an agent right away, meaning they were actually open. I'm not very impressed by the integrity of the store manager at this location. Head office - please review this with your staff in regards to customer service and honesty.
