Dear Management, I am writing to report an unpleasant customer service experience I had during my recent visit to your store. I came in to purchase medication while I was feeling unwell, and from the moment I entered, I felt judged and treated disrespectfully by two members of your staff. When I arrived, the Filipina lady at the beauty section saw me but was kind of weird and she looked at my slides in a judgmental way. Later, as I moved through different aisles looking for the medication I needed, the Filipino man at the cash register repeatedly stared at me in a way that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. His behavior later as I moved through did not appear to be ordinary job-related attention to the front of the store. Instead, it felt targeted and intrusive. I finally told him, “Could you please stop staring at me? You’re making me uncomfortable.” He responded, “I’m doing my job, I’m looking at the front,” even though it was clear he was watching the ailes I was in, not the store entrance. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Even when I went to pay, I felt like he was watching to see whether I would actually pay or not, which made the situation worse. I even told him he could check my receipt if needed. I have seen people causing trouble in the morning at this store before, but that does not justify treating every customer with suspicion—especially someone who is clearly unwell and simply trying to buy medication. This experience made me feel judged, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. I live nearby and often rely on this store, but after this incident I hesitate to return unless absolutely necessary. I hope you will address this issue with your staff so that other customers do not have to experience the same treatment. Thank you for taking the time to review my concern.
I was in the Shoppers Drug Mart at Yonge and High Tech with my daughter on October 3rd, and as always, Irvin was incredibly helpful. It’s not just that evening — every time I visit, she’s cheerful, patient, and genuinely happy to help everyone. I also see how kind she is with other customers, which says a lot about her character. What’s great for this store is that my daughter and I always end up buying more — from perfumes to cosmetics — because Irvin makes the whole experience so pleasant. She’s such a charm and a real asset to the Yonge and High Tech Shoppers!

This Shoppers location NEEDS self check-out. A. S. A. P. also the speed bumps behind the store in that laneway (the yonge street traffic jams bypass route) are brutal. They need to go.
