Terrible customer service. Sales staff does not make customer aware before purchase that top is on sale and therefore will only get a store credit and not money back. I am new to shopping here. Terrible store policy
I am incredibly happy with the level of customer service I received today from both Parsa and Marina. Both staff members are very professional, kind and eager to help. Parsa went out of his way to call Laura’s Customer Service Line to assist with my return and continued to find a solution until the return was complete. I hope they are both recognized for their wonderful customer service and I will continue to shop at this location because of them. Thank you again, Parsa and Marina!
I usually don’t write reviews- good or bad, but this was a very disappointing experience. My sister went to this location to pick out a dress. After she paid, she was informed for the first time that all sales were non-refundable and that she could only get an exchange or store credit within 10 days. Since she wasn’t 100% sure about the dress and wanted the opinion of other family members first, she immediately asked if she could just return it right there, as she didn’t want store credit. The man who processed the transaction understood the situation and was willing to do the refund, knowing he had only mentioned the return policy after the payment. However, the two women employees in the store (one of whom was the manager) were extremely rude and refused to allow the return, insisting it was “store policy” — even though we hadn’t even left the store yet. They told us we should have asked for help before making the purchase and even criticized us for using the “wrong” fitting room. This was very unprofessional, especially since they had walked by multiple times without letting us know there was a separate fitting area. Regardless, this had nothing to do with the return issue. After much back-and-forth, they finally called another manager, who confirmed that we could take the dress home for one night and return it the next day for a full refund. But after the terrible customer service and attitude we experienced, we decided to just take the refund immediately. I’ve been to other Laura Canada locations and have always had pleasant experiences — but this location was completely different. The lack of courtesy and professionalism was shocking.
Came here to make a return of a cocktail dress I purchased online. (If Canada Post was operating, I would have just sent my order back via mail to avoid unprofessional service in store.) The Laura website states clearly that refunds on cocktail or evening dresses and jumpsuits are issued on a gift card, so that was what I was expecting to receive. The store was empty when I visited and I walked up to the cashier. The cashier was fine and had no issues. The problem with my experience started when his colleague decided to come over to the cashier to "help" when it was completely unnecessary. The colleague started to say the dress is final sale, and could not be returned. She did not listen and just ignored me when I told her it was refundable on a gift card. The cashier was certain it was refundable on a gift card however. After that, the colleague then said the tags of the dress were removed when they were still intact...while the cashier had no issues. The colleague of the cashier finally walked away after realizing there was nothing else for her to pick on. To be honest, if it wasn't for the colleague of the cashier, everything would've been just fine.
Outstanding shopping experience every time I have the pleasure of shopping at Laura, Hillcrest. Saneea the manager is a consummate professional who dispenses with honest and helpful advice to ensure that you enjoy the best shopping experience not to mention that she has a heart of gold! Her staff including Marina, Bahar and all of the team do their utmost to make every customer feel welcome, heard and satisfied with their purchase. Even if you decide not to buy, they wish you well and welcome you whenever you are ready. Ignore the negative reviews and reward yourselves with a positive shopping experience. This is the only store where I shop with absolute peace of mind!
I went to the Laura store at Hillcrest mall on Yonge street in Richmond hill to purchase an item to make use of my 40% coupon. I did not realized that this store did not have any plus size clothing. But before being told that I was insulted by the store salesperson. I asked her to show me where the jeans with a rhinestone trim on the outer seam of the leg. So when she went to look she came back and said I will check on line to see if I can get you ax18. So while I was waiting at the cash she phoned and Said I a very loud voice. Sorry the biggest size we carry is a 16. So we do not have the size larger pants that you need we simply do not carry them in this store in front of four other people. I spend a lot of money in Laura usually at the Weston store where they are very accommodating. In fact the last time I went to Laura I spent over 600.00. I do not like the public ridicule I felt from a Laura employee.
