Great place if you enjoy Taiwanese dishes. These are classics and served hybrid food court style. Staff is polite and friendly and food is excellent. Decor is meh but I come for the food. And price is more than reasonable. Would recommend for sure.
The food was so good and yummy. We ordered 2 mains and 2 appetizers. The noodles had a great texture and the beef was so tender. The popcorn chicken was flavourful. Service was great and we’ll definitely be back again.
Organic Basil in Richmond Hill is a nice little spot, tucked away just enough to feel like a hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, though the service was just okay. I actually had to walk up to the waitress to hand her our slip of paper, which threw off the flow a bit. I ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles, and while the noodles themselves were enjoyable, the broth fell short for me. It lacked that deep, beefy richness I look for. Personally, Mei Nung Beef Noodle House still takes the crown better broth, better cuts of beef, and overall a more satisfying bowl. The popcorn chicken was tasty with its garlic aroma and crispy texture, but it was missing that final hit of seasoning salt, making the last few bites feel a little bland. On the other hand, the black pepper beef was a solid win moist, flavourful, and we'll balanced. One thing to note this place is clearly popular. A number of dishes were already sold out, so coming early is definitely a good idea. Overall, I’m glad I tried Organic Basil. I’d come back to explore more of their menu if I’m in the area. But if I’m craving Taiwanese beef noodles specifically, I’ll be heading straight to Mei Nung Beef Noodle House instead.
This is unacceptable. I've dined in at this place a handful of times and never experienced an issue. However today we ordered online from UberEats and this is what we received. How is this quantity acceptable for the prices you charged us? No, we didn't pull any shady stuff. This is what we received when we opened the packaging. Popcorn chicken $15.99 Tempura $8.99 Plum powdered sweet potato fries $9.99
Nice and Taiwan taste of foods We like all the servers there, they are friendly and kind. Even the baby at our table he is always want to walk around, those server s are still kind and friendly to treat us as same as other customers . Thank you for being kind . We also love the foods and Taiwan special drinks. We will definite come back again and enjoy all the Taiwan foods . Place is very nice and clean.
We loves Taiwanese food and this is the one located in the heart of Richmond Hill. We ordered the Taiwanese “popcorn chicken” rice bowl and the taste was amazing. Parking maybe limited but still a good place.
Really good food, abundant portions and reasonable prices. The food is also toddler-approved by my child who is going through his picky phase and only wants McDonalds. Main complaint is not enough highchairs. We've been to the restaurant 3 times, and each time majority of the customers had a child or two with them and the place quickly ran out of highchairs. For the amount of children customers that they get a day, I would like to see them purchase a few more highchairs. *Editing review to say that the restaurant actually got a bunch more high chairs, so will be rating a 5/5 now!
