Me and my cousin came here. Really friendly staff. Offered several tutoring options and provided a great education. Principal is very understanding and very helpful.
Usually I do not write reviews, but I want to share my story, which is related to this school. About a year ago, the class in which our daughter was went on a trip to the park by bus. After a few hours of walking around the park, the students and teachers returned by bus to school, but for some reason they forgot our child in the park. What was my surprise and frustration when I went to pick up the child from the school and saw her walking on the way from park to school and she was all crying. Neither the teachers who carried the children to the park, nor the school administration gave us any intelligible explanations. As you understand, after this event we took the child from this school.
My son and daughter both go to discovery academy and love the friendly environment, the lovely teachers and the high level education. This school stands at an incredibly high level compared to public schools my children have been too. This school gives many opportunities for my children to succeed and helps them improve their knowledge everyday! Recommend to everyone.
Be careful if you want to give your child to this school. From my own experience, I know that the school did not accept our child for the next year without a logical explanation of the reasons for the refusal, although our child has been studying at this school for many years. The child had friends in this school, but now he will have to start all over again at the new school and this puts the stress on the child, which can have an impact on his schooling. In recent years, many good teachers have left this school, which is why many children from this school went to other private schools. If possible, choose another private school in which your child will receive attention and understanding.
My young relative is graduating from Seneca's program "Television Broadcasting" in a couple of weeks and this is what he told me: "As soon as I'm done with exams, I'm going to visit my high school, chat with teachers, see if anything has changed, meet new students!" Isn't it a very valuable comment, is it? And this is Discovery Academy. Our family is very grateful to the teachers and management team of Discovery: without any psychological pressure they teach young people how to study, how to learn and apply knowledge and acquired skills. If you send a kid to Discovery, you may forget about endless driving after school to bring him or her to additional Math, French, Science, etc. You and your children can spend more time together, play sports, go into arts, start thinking about future profession and get ready for it. Discover "Discovery Academy" for your family and it will become "my old school" for many generations.
