What a great place for the whole family. There's a splash pad with a playground and BBQ area, right beside a lake where you can rent a canoe or kayak. Its also great for watching sunset since there arent any buildings to block your view. But remember to have some insect repellent with you for the occasional mosquito. Also, when walking by the lakefront look out for the little animal statues hidden in the shrubbery.
Amazing view of the lake and relaxing atmosphere. There is a water park for the kids and many tables to sit down for lunch. On-site washroom facility. Metal animal sculptures everywhere along the shore. Very thoughtful. The town is so thoughtful to preserve this lake shore area for a park; otherwise it would have been taken up by privately properties like it is in other small lakes, where it is very difficult to find a place to stop and view the beautiful lake. Thumbs up to the town's city planning!
The lake is pretty but small and there is no swimming allowed. The park itself is very small (takes about 15 minutes to walk from one end to the other). The best feature of this park by far is the giant splash pad for the kids! Great spot to take your kids on a hot day!
Been to this park a couple of times already. Nice playground with a splash pad for the kids. You can take small kayaks and paddle boards onto the lake too. One of the best places to hang out on a warm sunny day. Something for everyone.
Beautiful little Lake just 15 minutes north of Richmond Hills hustle and bustle. Sufficient parking in either the main park or a lot north east of Bayview. A boardwalk to walk near the lake and if you go far enough, there are a few docks to be used at your own risk to try your hand at fishing (recreational only as water is no longer tested and has high levels of bacteria). A lovely Park with covered areas and tons of big old oaks for a shaded Bbq or picnic with the ones you love. Clean washrooms on site and tables to sit at. A hot dog / hamburger vendor as well as ice cream truck on weekends only. Added bonus....the water park is heated! Not frigid like those around the city. My kids and even hubby cannot get enough of this place. Highly recommended.
