Must have if you’re in the area! The food was phenomenal and so fresh. We truly enjoyed everything we had - from the chicken katsu to the soup to the go train roll. We finished with ice cream which was delicious too. The staff were lovely as well. Would definitely come again.
Great overall experience from authentic green tea to fully loaded food items. Wish my mouth was bigger to fit such big portions. The blue mountain specialty roll and spicy salmon rolls were 10/10.
I’ve been enjoying eating here for many years. The food is always fresh and beautifully presented. Last night was a horrible experience with the manager being totally unhelpful or accommodating. Her name is Chloe. I’ve never met her nor have I ever had such a disappointing experience. My friend will not be returning because of the poor attitude and lack of customer satisfaction. I usually go at lunchtime and have enjoyed not only the food but the excellent customer service from Karen. I also take advantage of the 10% discount by paying cash. Chloe refused to accept this by saying it only applies to over $50. My bill was $30. So I paid by credit card. I wonder if there’s been a change in management. The food and choices are wonderful but the manager doesn’t seem to care about service. Thank goodness there are many sushi places to choose from. I will take my business elsewhere. Thanks to CHLOE.
Don’t be mistaken by its location in some small plaza. Akane offers you unique experience from the door to your last bite. Everything works, food tastes incredible and it has the right balance for the sushi’s, service is great friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The place has also something that makes you feel not that you are not in another sushi place. Come and check out.
We ordered one of the love boats for 5 people. The best part was the variety of sushi and sashimi we got from a 'standard' menu item, easily better than other sushi restaurants we frequent around here. I was not a fan of how some of the sashimi was cut, but this is an individual thing and others in my party did not have that problem. The tuna could have been better, but if you are a regular sushi eater you know that is generally par for the course here. Everything else was excellent, overall a great experience.
The sushi at this place had a fantastic flavor, but I must admit that I was disappointed with the size of the pieces. I can't understand why someone thought it was a good idea to make them so large, as it made them difficult to eat without feeling like I was choking. The enjoyment of each bite was diminished as I struggled to gulp them down. Due to this issue, I have to deduct a star from my overall rating. However, I must commend them on the freshness and careful preparation of the sushi. Each set that arrived at our table was well arranged and visually appealing. Aside from the size problem, the overall experience was positive, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. Despite my reservations about the size of the sushi pieces, I would still recommend this place for its fresh and well-prepared sushi. Just be prepared to handle the larger portions when you visit.
Its our first time to try this restaurant. We tried salmon lovers set. It was really delicious and fresh. So far best in town. Definately going back for more. Highly recommend.
