This is fabulous library! It's clean, bright and beautiful. No matter what time I visit the library, it's always quiet with students and adults studying or reading. I appreciate the calm vibe and appreciate how the staff walk around to make sure the quiet atmosphere is maintained as any library should be.
This is such a peaceful and wonderful place. My boys love coming to this library, and the staff are always kind and helpful. We feel very blessed to have it so close to us.
The staff is not helpful at all, recently had to deal with Joyce as I happen to not have my library card on me and was such an attitude and stilll provided wrong information!
Disgusting staff especially one called Kent . that would rather argue with a customer than be respectful and helpful instead l was treated ignorantly and accused of loosing an item and being told in an ignorant manner that l was now responsible for a charge for an item they did not call myself and enquire about.. just told me in person with ignorance that l owed an amount for the Lost item and refused to let me leave the library with other items.... the item they accused me of loosing was not lost . . it was still at my home.. but this Kent person that barely spoke English and treated me ignorantly accusing me of loosing an item that wasn't lost insisting l now bad to pay for a Lost item that wasn't lost .. argued with me. the entire time..was completely unhelpful . and a colleuge of his also being completely unhelpful unprofessional ignorant.. unqualified staff... Putting me in a very upset state of mind... when l done absaloultey nothing but went to a public library to get a few movies that l.have been doing for a year and a half.... disgusting unqualified unprofessional ignorant inaccurate staff. . This place One hundred percent needs a complete staff including managers revamp...
I don’t usually go to the library, but when my printer broke down, I had no choice but to go. I wasn’t familiar with how the library’s computer and printer worked, and I felt so lost. Thankfully, a very kind and knowledgeable Asian staff member came to my rescue. She patiently walked me through the process and made everything so easy. Thanks to her help, I got my documents printed quickly and without any hassle. I really appreciated her skill, patience, and professionalism. It turned what could’ve been a stressful situation into a smooth and pleasant one. Thank you again!
0 * Extremely disappointed with Oak Ridges Library. Despite booking a study room in advance, I was treated unfairly and disrespected. The staff particularly Ms. Jocya who handles room reservations act unprofessionally and prioritize friends over regular patrons. Today, both my friend and I had booked back-to-back time slots (11 AM–2 PM and 2 PM–4 PM), but our bookings were canceled without explanation. It became obvious they keep rooms “available” to hand over to their close connections, ignoring the official booking system. I refused to study with someone I didn’t choose to share the room with, but was still pressured to do so. I’ve been using libraries for over 5 years and never had such a negative experience anywhere else. This behavior is unacceptable and discriminatory, especially in a public library funded by taxpayers. I have already filed a complaint with the library manager and submitted a formal complaint to the City with evidence. There needs to be change at this library public services should be fair, unbiased, and accessible to everyone, not run like a private club for one community. I will not stop until this issue is addressed properly.
I arrived 20 minutes to them closing and they refused to let me and and another lady in. This is totally disrespectful and a disgrace to our tax dollars. I had my books reserved online so the service would have literally taken 3 seconds. This library’s staff is not kind and unhelpful. I will be sharing this experience with my friends family and online community. I have already called the city to file a complaint and I will be escalating this. If you get paid until closing then make sure the doors are open until closing. Period.
