What a scam of a company, beware of them without my acknowledgement they stole my identity and started charging me. When I called the helpdesk, they don't even have details or an account created.
They didn't even register my unit with Navien which should have. 0 stars !!!!!!!!!!!! I have a on-demad hot water system installed and it's 5 years later , unit has a puck size burn on unit that has a 10 year warranty. I as well have been calling for over 16hrs after 4 calls still no call back. With lady answering call saying someone will call me back . So at this point t 1 star is gracious. When I finally talk with them they said to me barrie is too far to go from Vaughn. Well it wasn't to far when they accepted my money for installation. And really they should have done my repair for warranty considering they sold unit to me. After dealing with them on this issue I would say there support of there clients is little to none. Roman the sales guy was really nice thou and was the only help we received from the company. Too bad the company doesn't have more helpful people like him.
I was stuck with a contract that a previous owner had been conned into. I sold the house since, paid off all the was owing which was a fortune for the now old equipment that was way overcharged. About 2 yrs later they just tried to take money out of an account I had closed. My bank called to inform me. At first I had no idea who it was since they have changed names several times until the bank mentioned the old owners name. He hasn't been responsible for over 5yrs and has passed away prior to my ownership. So seems they try to collect more even when you are gone.
If I can give no stars I would give it. They installed my heat pump about a 1.5 years ago and today I find out my heat pump is not working and the circuit boards are fried because they tech who installed my heat pump used wrong wiring (12 gauge when it’s supposed be 10) and used the wrong breaker from the panel (should be 25 or 30amp but used a 20amp) which is the existing one from the AC. I tried calling service multiple times and call just kept going to some reception type of person just saying I will pass the message to the service team because they are a busy. Nobody bothered to call back. Do not trust this company what so ever! It’s pathetic how once you get your money you treat the customers. UPDATE: They still have yet to do anything to resolve the issue. I called multiple times and all they say is the service team is busy and some receptionist who works remotely says they will pass the call. I even went to their “office” that’s mentioned in their website and it doesn’t exist where no one’s there. I have small children and elderly living and they are having hard time. What’s more troubling is the danger this faulty wiring could have caused. The electrician that came to inspect the wiring said that faulty wiring could have caused a fire during these extreme high temperature days. what if a fire had broken out while my family was at home.
Highly disappointed in the the thermal pump system installed by Smartcare. Advertised as high efficiency and would reduce my costs, Instead my hydro usage bills doubled and gas bill increased by 50%. System runs continuously, won't stop. I've been complaining since install. No one from the company can give me a reason why instead, they want me to pay $250 + tax to get a diagnosis. I've been complaining for about a year now and still no resolution to the problem. Terrible customer service. Don't believe their web page. Customer service is not at their core.
We had a heat pump and air sealing installed by Smartcare Home Services. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and helpful and explained the process clearly. The installation team was there within a couple of days and we were up and running. We can say we have seen a significant changes in our gas bill.
Installation was quick and clean. Installers did a great job. They were very polite and conscientious and did a great cleanup when complete. PLEASE NOTE: It is now been 9 months and the inspectors that Smartcare hired for the inspections have not properly done the paperwork for my rebate. Therefore I have never received the rebate. I think it's time to send a lawyer after them. The salesman John told me I would receive my rebate within 6-8 weeks so I could pay off the loan with it. Never happened! UPDATE: Roman from Smartcare reached out to me after seeing my review and has been instrumental in renewing my faith in Smartcare. The rebate has been resubmitted and as of Feb 1 it appears as though my rebate should arrive in the next 16 weeks. He has assured me it will be for the $8400 that was promised by John the sales rep or they will make it right. I'm hoping in the future to get a tank less water heater and will reach out to Smartcare for a quote. Thanks Roman.
