I ordered 姜汁炖奶. The owner offered us a full refund for the entire table of food because the dish was not prepared to the restaurant owner's satisfaction and took too long to make. This owner really takes their products very seriously. We will be back!
I used to come here before Covid and they reopened with new owner I think. Ordered three items for three of us and a bottle of drink to go. The black glutinous rice is just warm. (Not sure if it is due to the plastic container they use and avoid to make it hotter). The other two are good. If it is brown sugar for the tofu pudding, it will be greater. It was very busy and my bad that I didn’t check the bill closely and got double charged for the stewed egg white with milk. Make sure you check the bill to avoid mistake!!
We had such a lovely time at Sweet Turtle Dessert! I tried the grass jelly with fresh fruits, and it was perfect — not overly sweet, just light and refreshing. I also had the taro soup, which you can enjoy either hot or cold. It tasted very homey, like something comforting you’d have at home, yet still refreshing. The ambience is simple and cozy, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy. We had a blast chatting while savoring our desserts. What stood out most was how genuinely kind and welcoming the owners and servers were — they made the whole experience feel warm and personal. Definitely a place I’d come back to again for both the food and the atmosphere.
We ordered the mango sago and the sesame glutinous rice balls in ginger syrup. Both were so tasty, affordable and to top it off, great service. The place was also really clean and a great spot for desserts to catch up with friends and hang out for a bit. Will definitely be back!
It’s Asian-style sweet, so the desserts are not overly sugary. Personally, I would have preferred them to be a little sweeter. My friend and I ordered the stewed egg white and milk with sesame and walnut paste, but they were quite bland.
Soft re-opening with BOGO event this week. Authentic dessert and not too sweet like other places, refreshing and healthy. Still kept the traditional equipment and banners around, brings back good memories.
The server clearly doesn’t want to take you order. She kept saying we are closing soon so if you order this and that, you might only got five minutes to eat, is that okay? Fine. We are leaving at your wish!
