Viara is a phenomenal dance teacher who makes classes fun and engaging. My partner and I have been taking group classes from her for the last few months and we are loving it! She offers very reasonable prices and teaches at good pace for beginners.
My husband and I have been taking bachata lessons from Viara for about three months and it is so fun! In that short amount of time, she's taken us from zero to loads of steps and routines under our belt. She is both serious about our doing well, while also bringing humour and fun to every class. She's really good at breaking down what we have to do into manageable pieces and walking us through it until we've got it. She is also an excellent and knowledgeable dancer with beautiful technique.
Viara is a lovely teacher! You can tell she is passionate, proud, and knowledgeable in what she does. The group classes are fun and she is cognizant of the varying skill levels in class. For private classes, she is very encouraging for you to do the best that you can and will modify the steps to accommodate to you if she notices it might be too difficult to you. I would recommend Dance Fire for anyone looking to learn how to dance; whether is is for a special occasion or to add to your everyday skills!
Our first time at Dance Fire today, my son had a private lesson. Upon arrival the owner lambasted me over and over for calling her with a private number. I tried to say that she was welcome to my phone number, she just never asked for it. She continued the reprimand me, saying she had a cancellation she could not fill and had no way of contacting me. I felt attacked. It’s the first time we met & left a very sour taste. The lesson itself did not meet my son’s needs. We explained that he is a beginner and though it was a one-on-one lesson, it seemed like she just recycled a choreography she already had, which was way too advanced. Will not be returning.

I received a gift certificate for dance lessons with Viara as a Christmas gift from my fiancé, and it turned out to be one of the best gifts we could’ve received! Viara helped us prepare for our first dance at our wedding, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Neither of us are experienced dancers, in fact, we were total beginners, but Viara was incredibly patient, supportive, and lovely to work with. She made us feel comfortable right away and taught us an awesome dance that we are so proud to perform on our big day. We’re so grateful for her guidance and can’t wait to come back for more lessons.
