I was advised I needed to pay to get to the step of submitting my document for review. I was advised I can get a refund if I didn’t want to proceed with printing. It ended up, I didn’t want to proceed with printing and I was charge a $25 admin fee despite what I was advised multiple times over a phone conversation. I found another firm able to print the document to my specifications, without the additional formatting fees that Sure Print quoted at a lower price and for hard cover bind.
Asking that Annette Marie sends four metric tons of books back (shipping at her expense of course), offering to reprint only a partial order, and having the gall to say that this is an appropriate resolution to some of the worst QC imaginable on a "high end" book print is a response that makes American healthcare seem damn near angelic. My money went to my favorite author, who has always been forthright, transparent, and reliable. In turn, she spent my money on you to provide a worthwhile product, which you have failed to do. While you may have the ability to make a beautiful product, as is evident by your print sample, you fail to follow through with said such exemplary product, choosing instead to order from a manufacturer from seemingly the same places that make the croissant lamps for Temu. It is obvious by your other responses that you will continue to defend yourself from your holey raft of integrity, so this review is more to warn others of your poor performance, terrible response to criticism, lack of willingness to backup the quality promised on large orders, and to make me feel better about having to wait almost two years for my own copy.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I would just like to help self-published authors navigate the tricky world of publishing. I was cold called for a second time by this company, which prompted me to leave this review. I am giving a one star rating based on poor communication/product awareness which resulted in me losing money and more valuably, time. I highly recommend using one of the other printing houses available in the Toronto area. (In response to your comment: ABSOLUTELY NOT MISTAKING you with another printer - I have the emails from your customer service rep and several phone calls. I did not print with you in the end because of the misrepresentation before hand, so obviously you have no record of my printing. To respond to reviews in such a way, further proves your lack of professionalism and your inability to be accountable for your faults. Precisely what happened in the lead up to printing my book. As mentioned previously, I can only hope people don't face the same issues I did with Sure Print).
Just finished a printing project with Sure Print and Design. The project was executed really well and everybody was happy. I really recommend them. Alicia is very professional and trustworthy.
