Terrible experience. Ordered food on TGTG app, and received order confirmation for next day . But on day of pickup, was informed that the order was given away and my order could not be honoured. Don’t understand how confirmed orders are given away to other customers and then tell me that it’s perfectly acceptable practice. Stay away and shop at the FMP location
Bought some pastries here. I've only had 2 and they're tasty and priced well. I've had better maybe cause I went near the end of day. I'm happy to make this my everyday bakery to get my Asian pastry fix though because it hits the balance between pricing and quality.
We just happened to walk past this place and walked in to get an egg tart, it was so good, hot and flaky! The staff were truly friendly! It was a very small place but the service was great! Lots of choices!
The store clerk today purposely grabbed by egg tart very hard until it was cracked, while my mom’s was perfect. My mom was paying the clerk didn’t like me because I gave them a bad look when they didn’t give us the promised no tax deal if we bought 6 products. We bought 4 items but one of the bags had 3 buns in it and is more expensive than other individual packed ones they refused to give us the deal.
The Cantonese lady at cash is extremely rude. Last time I will ever come here. Go to the place at Spadina and 16th instead. The staff there was much nicer.
Patisserie Gateau is a great locally owned Chinese bakery. They have a wide selection of buns, pastries and cakes. I particularly enjoyed the pineapple bun with BBQ pork. The bread is soft and fresh.
On April 5th at 6:00 PM, I placed an order for a cake with the agreement that it would be held until 6:30 PM. However, when I arrived at 6:20 PM, I was informed that the cake had already been sold. I found this quite disappointing, as it raises concerns about the reliability of the service. I hope steps will be taken to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
